Last Post

Been having stomach aches for the whole of today! Which is really annoying.... Actually been having stomach aches for the past week, I dont think tts normal. Stomach aches are apparently a symptom of h1n1, but i don't have a fever sighs.... So no idea wats happening to me. Anyway this is prob gna be my last post for a while, before i go into hibernation.

Its over!

Exams as of today, are finally over! Well technically its not, since i still got the stupid clb paper tmr. Why they put it on the very last day, i would never understand... Anyway i got a million things to say, but dunno where or how to start...

Although the mye is more or less finished, i'm still not feeling the post exam mood (suppose to be a gd mood btw). Annd i dont really know why. Maybe its the fact that i have to wake up early tmr to do a very meaningless paper which i couldnt care less abt. If not for the fact tt i might get expelled or smth, i would glady skip the paper and just get zero. Then there's also the fact tt the exams didnt go as well as i hoped. Its so ironic sometimes, the way life turns out. The only subject i'm confident of passing now is econs, the subject which i barely touched and which i was very prepared to just fail. But it just so happens that the few topics i studied came out. Then came the maths and chem papers which just totally killed me. And after finishing the chem paper today, i realised what was the problem with my method of studying. Memorising stuff at the last minute never helps. And banking everything on organic chem is foolish. As they say, putting all ur eggs in one basket is never a wise move. But the worst thing of all is that this is not even the end of the journey yet. There's still quite a long time till the A levels and i'm alr soo tired. To realise that all ur effort was in vain is enough to strip anyone of their fighting spirit...

And as anyone would know by now, Michael Jackson died exactly a week ago, 25/06/09. And the whole world is in mourning. But not very long ago, he was known as Wacko Jacko, that white pedo fag who terrorised children with his plastic nose. Almost every spoof movie made fun of him and he was the butt of every joke. Now, he is known once again, as the King of Pop, the gloved one. And suddenly every celebrity is acting like their best friend died. I mean to feel sad is justifiable, but totally devastated... Well one can't help but feel a little sceptical abt this. Are they truly saddened by his death or just merely being politically correct? I mean if he has influenced them in such a huge way, where were they when he was close to bankruptcy? All they would have to do is donate some money each and MJ would become richer than Bill Gates. He then wouldnt have to embark on that gruelling tour. 50 shows is ALOT and coupled with the fact that he would have to dance and sing and that he only weighed 50kg at the time of his death, even if he didnt die of cardiac arrest, the tour would have killed him. But the most disgusting thing would be his dad. When asked about his son, MJ's dad started rambling on about his business. I mean seriously... wth is wrong with that man???

Anyway i think its sad that MJ is only able to find peace in death. Only after his demise did people start to sympathise with him and remember his genius. And this is so typical of people, we only learn to treasure smth after its lost. Anyway jus gotta say R.I.P MJ

Zoo!

Went to the zoo ystd with josephine, jonathan, jesmond, eve, wei and ian! And the BEST part was that it was FREE.... thanks to josephine who managed to get free pases for all of us :) Nice distraction from my studying which didnt go very well:( Sweated like mad cos it was relli hot and didnt manage to see all the animals due to a lack of time. Plus rained heavily at the end so we were forced to run thru the Africa section. After went for steamboat buffet dinner at amk.

Strangely the trip was similar to our last trip to the zoo 1 or 2 yrs ago. Last time we went, it was free too thanks to marilyn. Plus it rained heavily. And we had steamboat buffet dinner as well.

No more school!!!

First week of June holidays is finally up... Which means i dun hav to go back to school till term starts :) So now can really concentrate on mugging. Got a lot hanging on the mid years. Firstly, i'm actually gna try for this exam and if i still flung then i got nth left to say. Before i could always use 'didnt study' to justify my poor results but tt's not gna suffice this time round. My parents are expecting me to show them decent results for the MYE so really hope my grades will improve by alot... Plus there's still that bet with xin yun where one of us have to give up their phone for a week or month (cant relli rmb) depending on who does better. I dun even know why we agreed on such high stakes -.-" My GP is alr screwed due to my stomach ache and very sure i failed cos Mr desmond chan pretty much confirmed it :( So anyway quick update:

Friday:

Very boring, long and useless econs lect in the EARLY morning (8-10am). After went to study with nicholas and yu sheng in the sch library. I think the lib is really conducive, u either end up studying or sleeping cos there's nth else left to do there. Joined later by han shen and jarryl. Suppose to study till 4+ but cos i finished everything i set out to do, so i stopped at 330:) Then went with Joy to town to get bday present for Dan. Its so hard to look for smth for her and we ended up gg all the way to the freaking Esplanade. We were both very very tired by the end of it, not to mention super broke. I couldnt even afford to eat supper later! So forced William to share the cost haha. After dinner, went with William to the Cjc drama production, Blithe Spirit. Not as bad as i expected it to be. Haha Joy kept saying how it was gg to suck...

Saturday:

Went out with marcus, garrett and Xuan yi today. Went to Marina Square and Suntec city... Played pool but didnt watch movie cos couldnt agree on anything haha. It was a tough fight between hannah montanna, drag me to hell and Monsters vs Aliens.... Well there isnt much movies out now anyway... Ate at some Turkish restaurant which cost a freaking bomb. At least it was smth different. Also played a cool arcade game called 'Lets go Jungle'. Haha super retarded game. Think we spent more than $10 on it! Oh and it was also the first time i took the new circle line haha.

Sunday:

Tuition today drained all the energy out of me. Was sooo freaking tired. Anyway gna go make new study plan later. Which I must follow. Hopefully i can... Oh and on a very random note, i think Eminem new mv is damn funny.

Update!

I'm BACK :) Haven't been updating due to the existence of smth evil called Mid Year Examinations haha. Anyway technically, MYE still not finished cos only our H1s were done. But the rest of the Mye namely, our H2 exams are after the june holidays so its sorta over... Anyway just decided to update today so my blog won't die young...

Friday:

Last day of our H1 exams. Didnt really end well. Last paper was GP and had stomach aches during the compre paper. So kept gg to the toilet which effectively means i missed abt 30mins of the stupid paper. It was so bad i was actually fantasising abt the toilet bowl while trying to do the paper haha. Which is actually quite funny when u think abt it. Anyway suppose to celebrate Ian's bday which i sorta told the class was today but actually it was ystd >< So tried to make up for it by treating him to a free bday meal but tts been postponed :( So ended up being just a normal class lunch. Went to subway at far east to eat with jessica, jaime, cheryl, xin yun, yu sheng, justin, aloysius and han shen. Oh ya n i got tricked by the evil ice cream man at far east :(

Saturday:

Went to celebrate eve's bday today with johnathan, josephine, jesmond, joseph, lim wei, ian and obviously eve herself. Ate subway again for lunch -.-" Spent ALOT of time waiting for eve to shop for shoes. Played pool. Watched old nostalgic xmen episodes on joseph's ipod. And also watched Night at the Museum 2 at plaza sing. Which is really fitting since we watched the first installment tgt as well:) Anyway i thought it was funnier than the first movie. And there were ALOT of special effects. Then caught the last bus back to jesmond's house. Where we played 7 up (a card game) and cam whored a lot. Might upload the pics next time :) Anyway reached home at abt 4am.

Sunday (today) :

Stupid Marcus abandoned us at the last minute. So it was just me. garrett and jarryl. And they were both late so i was pacing up and down while waiting for them like some madman... Anyway went to watch Terminator salvation. Took me a while to understand the weird relationship btwn john connor and kyle reese. Anyway quite a gd movie. Very noisy, and there's a sorta twist at the end. Anyway on a random note, i think john connor is a very nice name :)

X-men Origins

Today was quite an interesting day. Firstly no lessons till 12pm:) Cos we had some prize ceremony from 8-10... Then suppose to have PE at 10 but for some reason, it became a free period and plus since i dont take lit, i ended up having a 3 hour break! Played poker during break. Never been so lucky before in poker, won like $55:)



Then later used clb period to go buy movie tickets for the class. For some reason, Cathay cinemas doesnt seem to be showing X-men Origins which is quite weird cos its like a big blockbuster. I dunno whether its just today or that Cathay is totally not gna show the movie hmm.... Anyway had to go to lido to buy the tickets and rush back for econs tutorial in under an hour! Haha it was really funny, all of us running from the bus stop to the 2T15 classroom ( cos we have our econs there) and when we arrived, Mrs Ho wasnt even there -.-" Everyone was sweating profusely and Mrs Ho said i looked lifeless. Well who wouldnt after such a long run! Oh had the land yacht competition trial run as well. Surprise surprise, our land yacht actually moved!



Then finally went to watch X-men Origins with justin, jaime, jessica, yu sheng, aloysius, han shen and xin yun. As usual, we were late. movie started at 530 and we arrived at like 545. Anyway the action scenes were very nice. Gambit was really cool. Story was quite simple. But the movie was damn short! Not even 2 hours :(

Turned 18 today! Which means i m officially legal :)

Anyway didnt really celebrate cos just so used to not celebrating. Haha plus i think its more trouble than its worth. Will have to stress over who to invite etc. Anyway just wanted to thank some ppl in no particular order :

Napfa

Finally had my napfa test today after being postponed for damn long due to reasons like heavy rain, absense of teacher etc. Anyway had trouble with the shuttle run which is quite retarded cos its 'suppose to be one of the easiest stations' as wat the pe teacher said. Quite weird cos neva had trouble with the shuttle run until today. Dunno wats wrong with me today.....And most ppl hav trouble with 2.4km or chin ups so i m like the only idiot who cant do the shuttle run -.-" First attempt was retarded cos while running, some idiot strolled into the area where i was running. When he saw me, he started running away and it looked like i was chasing him haha. But eventually managed to clear shuttle run with a very lousy time. So overall got silver for Napfa which means i'm exempted from the extra 2 months of NS:) So next up, econs, history and chem test... Hope i do well for them, except econs cos i've given up on it haha

Finally got back my pw results today. Annd i got a... B. Was really hoping for an A but i guess u cant always get wat u want rite? And dont really know wat to feel with a B. I'm not happy, but not sad as well. Just empty... But then looking back i guess we weren't exactly the model pw group :

- Wasting entire pw sessions playing word games. (Wasted quite a lot of these sessions)

- Going to Jess's house to 'do pw' but we somehow always ended up going on a 'friends' (the tv show) marathon.

- We ALWAYS faced a last minute crisis before the day of a deadline. And used lots of chinese periods to sort it out haha

- Procrastinating alot!

- And we had a very very very lousy group presentation :(


But on a lighter note, when i msged my mum that 'i got a B for pw'. She replied ' means pass or fail' . HAHA joke of the century! Anyway went to watch Shinjuku incident after school today as well. Quite a nice show. Actually i went in without the slightest inkling of wat the show is about. But it was a good movie. Think tt Daniel Wu acted very well. Jackie Chan was like stony faced throughout the whole show. Haha mayb i m jus biased, since i've never liked jackie chan...

Had ptm (parent teacher's meeting) today. Last years ptm was a disaster so was expecting this years one to be worse since my results this year is so horrible. But surpisingly it was quite ok. Mr T didnt have much to say abt me. Prob cos he hardly knows me:) Just said the usual rubbish abt how T34 sucks etc. And he told my dad abt how i kept cutting clb classes. Which my dad doesnt really care abt haha. He actually encouraged me to 'pon when possible.' Luckily my dad didnt go see the other teachers. Esp chem. No idea wat ms Teo told my chem tutor. Only thing was Mr T challenged me to get straight C for mid years....Or else i'm screwed.

Anyway onto happier things. Watched 'confessions of a shopaholic' ystd with eve and rebecca. Quite a funny show.

And gna go to my niece's 1 year old bday party tmr. Not really sure whether tts a happy thing. The only person i m prob gna talk to is cuitian/candy (dunno wat she wants to be called these days) since she's like the only other kid. And the adults will prob ask me for my results... and then start fussing.... and nagging... Sighs...

Play hard, Work even harder

Spent ystd celebrating bro's bday, so couldnt go for history night:( Anyway, alot of ppl said i've lost a lot of weight. Must be due to the stress haha. Ate alot, cam whored alot and we were suppose to go catch a late night movie but didnt cos of lousy timings. So we played a lot of charades which was really funny. We all lost our voices cos we were super enthu and screaming out the answers since losers have to do forfeits. Thankfully i never lost:)

So anyway, managed to stick to my studying policy today so very very proud of myself:) I even rejected mj game session haha. See this time i'm serious abt studying.... Completed my maths tutorial, did some chem and prob gna read thru econs later cos i currently have no idea wat's gg on....

Science Camp

Just got back from science camp :) Never went to a science camp, or any camp for ages but this is pretty much what i expected. Started on monday 8am and ended today at abt 1pm. So its more of an overnight stay. Pretty much spent the whole of science camp running from station to station, doing all kinds of experiments and trying to get as much points as possible since the winners get taka vouchers and movie tickets! My team (team maomi!) started out enthu but our enthusiasm didnt last very long haha. Not surprisingly we didnt win, partly due to the water rocket station which is the only station that we failed :( Haha cos i launched the rocket backwards instead of forwards! But then since we only take chem, we were severely disadvantaged at the physics and bio stations :( But overall camp was ok, learnt lots of concepts of no real use. CSI investigation was retarded cos the storyline is retarded. Very tiring cos we had to keep moving and thinking. And the food really sucked, especially at dinner, where i felt like puking! So everyone was happy when it ended, though it was revealed at the end tt now, its compulsory for us to take part in science week:(((( So took cab with cheryl and lena to serangoon gardens for lunch then headed to rachel's place for mahjong session with rachel (duh), lena and caleb. For some reason we were quite dead during mj. Oh well at least i won some money:)))

Anyway when i got home, i had severe diahorrea (prob due to the camp!) and i think i m becoming sick now. Sighs...

Post CT (common tests) life has definitely been better than CT life, mainly bc i didnt have a life during cts haha.

Not gna talk about the CTs cos it has been pretty much a disaster and i'll just get depressed thinking abt it. Anyway my resolution for the holidays is to study my butt off and return to school all smart and wise:) So onto happier stuff:

Friday:

Last paper (maths) in the morning. Then finally end of cts! Its nice to not have to worry about exams and worse, dream about them. Ys kept whining abt losing 10 marks from the maths paper the whole day -.-" Anyway later went to eat at town with hs, ys and ian. Then watched slumdog millionare at lido. Cos i'm underage for watchmen and i'm boycotting dragonball cos of the retarded cast (caucasian goku-.-") Anwyay very very nice show. Loved the part when jamal jumped in shit for an autograph! Hehe old movie but i'm glad i managed to catch it. I was expecting some bollywood movie but i was very pleasantly impressed. Except for the last part, where they started dancing in a bollywood fashion for no reason at all.

Saturday (today):

Went out with garrett, xy and kyu hoon ( not sure how to spell her name). Was late thanks to 'friends' the tv show. Haha although i've watched the episodes like a million times, still find it damn funny and so i promptly forgot abt the time. Anyway still owe them drinks for tt which i realised i haven't treated yet:) Anyway went to kovan to play pool and bowl in which we attempted to be serious haha. And Kyu hoon, the only girl, was like the mvp for pool and thrashed us all in bowling! Haha so embarassing. Oh wells i've always sucked at bowling. Then xy and kyu hoon left and so we went to thai express where Garrett watched me eat cos he's trying to save money... Oh and we saw the power rangers!!!

New phone!

Finally got a new phone today! Sony ericsson c902. Phone number is still the same:) Had to pay for the phone myself, still owe my dad $100 cos i'm broke hehe. Have to go collect money from all those ppl who still owe me money! Decided not to stick to nokia. All my previous phones were nokia models except one samsung phone i had which i abosolutely hated, due to it's retarded sms function. Anyway currently facing a ridiculous crisis, i've been trying to figure out how to open the lens cover for the last 30 mins and i still haven't figured it out!!!

Anyway i had to get a new phone cos i lost my phone on thursday! Lost it in the cab when cabbing back from macritchie to cjc after the cross country. Sighs so i'm phoneless for 2 days!!! And it feels really weird being phoneless, felt so cut off from everyone else. So if i didnt reply ur messages, its bc i CAN'T.

Although the title is TGIF, but today's friday was quite a waste of time:(

Firstly, had maths lect in the morning which was spent competing with jessica and ys on who could draw the best pokemon-.-" Drawing pokemon during lectures is like a new trend haha. All my lect notes are full of pokemon drawings! So no idea wats gg on in school now:( But my charizard totally kicks ass haha.

Then had chem CA in the afternoon:( Lost my hydroxy notes the nite before. Also lack of motivation to study so totally didnt touch carbonyl. Only looked through hydrocarbons. Luckily sat next to grace:)

Finally detention from 3-7pm sighs. Total waste of time, stoned throughout most of the time. And the band was damn annoying, disrupted my concentration haha.

Random stuff

First up, i'm gna give up in trying to watch an Oscar movie (movies which hav lots of oscar buzz) cos i'm jus not fated to. First attempt was in trying to watch changeling but due to the lousy timings and the fact that few cinemas were showing it, we ended up watching movies like ong bak 2 ( lousy show! we were srsly contemplating on walking out of the cinema, but stayed cos it cost us $10 each) and the wedding game( which was quite ok, not as bad as most ppl made it out to be). Then ystd spent the whole day trying to watch the curious case of benjamin button. Travelled all over Spore from vivo to ps and even jurong point! But everywhere was sold out. Haha wat a way to spend valentine's day -.-"

End of CNY

CNY is coming to an end, sighs so no more gambling:( But gg to my grandma's hse in the evening later today so mayb there might be some gambling though i doubt there will be...

Anyway went to stay over at my uncles' house ystd, which effectively means my sleep cycle is ruined...Reached there at abt 8 even though i left at like 530, so i had no idea how come the journey took so long. Played big 2 at first where i won $7:))) Then after that when more ppl came, switched to playing blackjack where i lost $11, sighs so overall lost $4 which could have like bought myself a plate of chicken rice! Oh wells i'm so used to losing money. Oh and i also realised how come i have so little money left. Its bc i still haven claimed the money from class fund for han shen's bday cake! Anyway went to breakfast at macs in the morning and managed to reach home just in time for tuition.

Anyway my earphones screwed up during the journey and now it totally doesn't work. And its like NEW! bought it like 1 or 2 months ago. Oh and i just found out that i hav a cj library card, smth which i didnt realise till ystd. And its been in my wallet since last yr! Oh and my dad is finally coming back from Aus today, hope he brought a lot of pics back and stuff! Haha cos i really miss everyone back there. Havent seen them in like 2 or 3 yrs...

Life lessons

Some stuff happened today which i have managed to learn from and in the process become wiser:)

Firstly, last nite, threw some clothes into the washing machine to wash but forgot to take it out. So when i rmbered the next day, was expecting the clothes to smell but surprisingly they didnt! And i was relli lazy last nite so i didnt check the pockets b4 throwing the clothes in. Luckily there was no tissue paper in the pockets cos the last time i washed clothes with tissue, it screwed up the whole washing machine and made a huge mess. Well anyway stuff that got washed along with the clothes included 60 cents worth of coins as well as my bro's trading cards and they all turned up in gd condition.
Lesson learnt: Its ok to leave clothes in the washing machine overnite:)

Secondly, somehow while mopping the floor today, i managed to break the pail. Think i used too much force when squeezing the mop. Anyway now gotta go get a new pail-.-"

Thirdly i spent 2.5 hrs copying my chem hydroxyl tutorail today! Yes what a waste of time but its alr 1 wk overdue.... And its not like i was copying from someone with bad handwriting or smth, i was copying from the model ans my chem teacher emailed to me. And it still took me 2.5 hrs!!! Imagine how long it'll take if i actually did it.
Lesson learnt: Copying work is tough

Finally, i bumped into my ex facil, corrine, ystd at PS. We both opened our mouths in surprise when we saw each other. Well i did whereas she just opened her mouth in mock surprise to imitate me haha
Lesson learnt: U neva know who u might bump into! ok i alr knew this b4 but this is just for the benefit of all those ignorant ppl out there:)

CNY continues....

Currently now 10am and i jus got home. Strangely i still feel quite awake:) Anyway although CNY is officially not over, alot of ppl have stopped celebrating it which is kinda sad. Haha luckily my family is an exception cos CNY is pretty much just an excuse to gamble:)

Anyway went to suntec ystd to accompany eve to buy shoes. Ran into xuan yi there. And for the first time, jesmond was early which i think is quite a significant event haha. Oh n the little nyonya cast happen to be there. Did not know they were gg to be there and yes WE DID NOT stalk them -.-" Well just saw them for like 10 seconds b4 they left. I dont even know y they'r still promoting the show when its alr over....

Later went to my aunt's place for steamboat and of course, to gamble! Played big 2 (without money) and played blackjack for a while in which i won $4:) Then played rummy until like 430am. Haha stressful game, feel stressed when losing and even more stressed when winning cos ppl keep begging u not to game! Anyway lost $3 which is not bad considering i was losing ALOT but i managed to recover during the last 2 rounds:) So overall i won $1!!! Ok not much but i've been losing money on tuesday, wednesday, thursday & friday so winning money is a very nice change haha. Then went to sleep for like 3 hrs before gg to breakfast at Macs. Ok starting to feel sleepy now so i'm gna go sleep now:) And i hav no idea wat i m gna do with the chem online test which was ystd. Wonder if it has a deadline....

P.S: Quite alot of ppl have asked me to add a tagboard in. Haha reason y there's no tagboard is bc i'm lazy and it sounds very troublesome... Anyway i might add one in when i hav the time. BYE!

Gambling/eating/gambling/eating/gambling/eating.... haha sounds like paradise, anyway tts pretty much how i spent my time during the CNY weekend. Feeling quite lazy now so jus gna give a brief update:

Saturday:
T34 class gathering at Ian's damn big house. Ate steamboat. Played a little guitar hero. Lost $4.40 in poker/blackjack, thank god the stakes were small haha. But still had to take the last bus to lavender to save money and then cabbed home from there:)

Sunday:
Reunion dinner at Grandma's place. Ate steamboat again. Coincidentally also johnathan's 21st bday so celebrated his bday as well...The cake was freaking nice:) Also the only day where there was no gambling.....

Monday:
Went to grandma's place again:) Everyone showed off their new clothes today:) Stayed there till abt 9pm then went over to marilyn's hse. Watched Ip man for the second time -.-" Also the only day where i actually won money. Haha won $12 from playing blackjack for like the whole day. Also helped Joseph to win like $30 in blackjack at Marilyn's place.

Tuesday:
Spent the whole morning trying to do hw. Obviously unsuccessful. Didnt touch a thing, I'll prob regret it later though... Went to play mj during the afternoon. Met Serene after like 1 yr:) But lost $3 haha. Had to leave early so rebecca came over to take over.

Anyway HAPPY NIU YEAR!!!
